In 19 shows, more than 13,000 people from Buenos Aires have enjoyed shows full of joy, humor, magic and messages of peace, thanks to the Colombia Circus of Colombian National Army.
With the purpose of alleviating part of the social problems in the Special District of Buenaventura, the Colombian National Army and Navy joined efforts to bring joy and fun to these people through family integration spaces, such as the presentations of the Colombia Circus N°3, which gathers children, youth and adults day and night around an environment in which the soldiers of Comprehensive Action leave their best circus presentations and skills.
Faquirism, juggling, mime show and clowns are some of the acts that entertain more than 700 people every night, in free presentations performed by the 12 soldiers with Differential Resources that make up this circus. So far 13,652 people have lived this experience for the first time, who with applause thank Colombian National Army for these spaces that strengthen bonds of partnership and trust with the community.
Lieutenant Colonel Julián Borda Baquero, commander of the Comprehensive Action and Development Support Battalion N°3, to which this circus belongs, said: "It is gratifying to see the great reception that these functions have had in Buenaventura, a city to which we continue to bet on building peace and social fabric together with the Colombian Navy, through spaces in which, in addition to entertaining, educational campaigns against the forced recruitment of minors and denunciation of crimes such as extortion and kidnapping are in the same way promoted."
In addition to the circus shows, the Colombia circus is in the same way carrying out the Disarming Hearts campaign, which consists of exchanging war toys and bladed weapons for educational toys, educational kits and sports equipment, with which it seeks to prevent acts of violence among children and young people, combat insecurity and promote values in the people.
