Troops of the 22nd Jungle Brigade, together with the Anti-Narcotics Police, in the department of Guaviare, have directly attacked the organized armed groups that commit crimes in the Colombian southeast, including the finding of 65 kilos of marijuana, an operations that is carried out to counter the problem of drug trafficking, the financial responsible for crimes.
In compliance with the guidelines of the Ayacucho Plan, and in a coordinated and inter-institutional manner, Colombian National Army with the National Police and the Navy of Colombia, through information provided by intelligence and civilians, materialize the finding of 3 sacks with 59 packages apparently of marijuana. The events occurred in a rural area of the Eastern village, in the municipality of San José del Guaviare. No arrests were made at the scene.
It should be noted that the judicial proceedings took place under the Specialized Anti-Drug Trafficking Prosecutor's Office 54 of the city of Mocoa, Putumayo.
The Twenty-Second Jungle Brigade of Colombian National Army and the National Police ratify the commitment to neutralize illegal activities and the logistical operations of organized armed groups, as well as the promotion of the Travel safe campaign to accompany locals and tourists, which contributes to the social and economic development of the department.
