In response to an urgent request to evacuate a 20-year-old young soldier, the Colombian Aerospace Force carried out an aeromedical transfer in a timely manner in the department of Vichada, aboard a Huey II type helicopter.
The patient, whose identity is under reserve for privacy reasons, received emergency care at the Navy Infantry Battalion in Nuevo Antioquia, where it was finally determined the need to transfer him to a medical center with specialized resources in Puerto Carreño. The quick and precise intervention of the Colombian Aerospace Force led to this transfer being carried out safely and efficiently.
The aircraft used for this important operation was meticulously equipped with highly qualified medical personnel and the necessary resources to work for the continuous care of the patient during the flight. During the transfer, the patient's stability was ensured and his prompt arrival at the military health establishment in Puerto Carreño was possible; he was received by a multidisciplinary team prepared to provide the specialized medical assistance he required.
