Meta. The joint, coordinated and inter-institutional work conducted by the National Army and the Colombian Air Force led to save the life of a four years old girl who had been bitten by a snake in the rural area of La Macarena, in the department of Meta.
Attending the call of the mother of the girl, who looked for the men of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 1 in the village Caño Indio in La Macarena, Meta, to inform that her daughter had been bitten by a snake and that she needed help Immediately to be transferred to a place where they could get specialized medical assistance, the troops deployed on the sector came to the site doing coordination with the National Center for Recovery of people of the Air Force to conduct the aeromedical evacuation.
Despite the difficult air access in the area, the girl was transferred in a UH-60L ANGEL of the Air Component of the Joint Task Force Omega, from the hamlet to the hospital of La Macarena, Meta, where at this time she receives specialists care.
