The minor is in the rights restauration process with the ICBF.
One drone, 18 improvised explosive devices, 2 rifles, 297 rounds of ammunition and other material were given to the troops. The operations are carried out in municipalities such as Cumbitara and Policarpa, and they would have motivated their decision to abandon illegality.
In the midst of the heavy fighting that has occurred in recent days in the department of Nariño and in the face of the pressure of the troops to maintain territorial control, soldiers of the Ground Operations Battalion No. 14, a unit added to the Twenty-Third Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the National Police and in coordination with the Technical Investigation Corps, CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, facilitated the voluntary surrender of two individuals and the recovery of a minor.
In two events the individuals searched the troops in the department of Nariño. In the first operation, an individual approached the military units in the municipality of Cumbitara, declaring to be a member of the so-called United Self-Defense Forces of Nariño, who was in this common crime group as a drone operator; in turn, he expressed his intention to abandon criminality and enter legality, thus he gave a drone, 2 batteries and 18 improvised explosive devices conditioned to be launched from unmanned aircraft, which were detonated in controlled conditions complying with security protocols.
In the second event, in the municipality of Policarpa, an individual and a minor stated that they were members of the residual GAO, Franco Benavides Structure, giving the soldiers 2 rifles, 10 magazines, 297 rounds of 5.56 mm caliber ammunition and military accessories material.

The individuals were put into custody of the authorities along with the evidentiary material, in the same way, the minor is in process with the ICBF for the restoration of his rights.
