Valle. The Air Combat Command No.7 of the Colombian Air Force and the Infantry Battalion of Marine infantry No. 42, of the National Navy, brought solidarity and well-being to 4,372 inhabitants of the municipality of Guapi, department of Cauca, through a Development Support Activity.
Very early in the morning, military personnel, Professional Officers of the Reserve, specialist doctors, journalists and volunteers from different public and private institutions prepared to reach the Pacific region of the department of Cauca where they arrived after a 45-minute flight.
In coordination with the Municipal Administration of this municipality, the Agricultural Center of Buga of the National Service of Learning SENA, the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing, Profamilia, Patrulla Aérea Foundation and Angeles for Colombia, among other institutions contributed significantly to meet the most felt needs of the inhabitants of Guapi.
Services of general medicine and pain medicine, dentistry, pediatrics, gynecology, nutrition, psychology, vascular analyses, ophthalmology, internal medicine, recreation, veterinary and distribution of presents were provided during two days.
In the same way, under the agreement of the Military Forces and the SENA (national learning service), the CACOM-7 achieved the approaches with the personnel of regular soldiers who serve their military service with the National Navy in this region of the country, with an educational agreement with technical programs to provide an alternative to work at the end of their time in the military.
