Nariño. The Joint Task Force Hercules through its National Marine component and with the National Police, manages to dismantle one of the armed support networks to residual structures of the so-called "United Guerrillas of the Pacifico,” which were committing crimes in the sector San Sebastián, rural area of the municipality of Tumaco, in the department of Nariño.
The dismantling of this network is achieved with the capture of its leader, alias 'Cuba', its second leader in command , alias 'Chipaque' and nine members of this structure, who would be responsible for the collection of money from extortion and selective kidnappings in the area and the north of the Pacific Coast.
The troops also found four pistols caliber 9 mm, a pistol caliber 57.28 mm, eight magazines and 189 cartridges of different calibers, a fragmentation grenade, 44 rifles, a detonating cord and seven packages which contained, apparently, coca base paste. In the same way, they found abundant communication equipment, military garments and cash.
The Military and Police Campaign 'Atlas', the 'Diamante' plan of the Military Forces and the plan "Quien la hace la Paga" (who breaks the law, has to pay) of the National Police, will continue to leave decisive results against the illegal Organized Armed Groups and other factors of instability in the region, to guarantee the control of public order and the security and tranquility of Colombians in the south west of the country.
