With its Bambi Bucket system and its aircraft and crews, the Air Combat Command No. 4 continue to support with aerial reconnaissance and water dumping procedures to extinguish the fire that has consumed more than 800 hectares in the municipality of Suarez, in the department of Tolima.
A Bell-206 Ranger helicopter was flying over the burnt area in order to monitor the risks of the fire and its trajectory, maintaining constant communication with the institutions on the ground.
For this work, HUEY II helicopter crews and the Bambi Bucket system of the Colombian Air Force, have carried out more than four water dumping procedures of 600 gallons of water with forest fire liquids, in order to support the work of firefighters, of the National Police and the National Unit for Disasters Risk Management, UNGRD in Spanish, who carry out work in the area.
