Cauca The Twenty-ninth Brigade, attached to the Third Division of the National Army, carries out different social operations, aimed at improving the living conditions of vulnerable communities that are waiting for the support of the institutions of the State.
Arboleda and Campobello, are hamlets of the municipality of Argelia in the department of Cauca, which are in a sector where years ago, violence and terrorism had seized the tranquility of its inhabitants. Today, thanks to the arrival of the National Army, which has brought with it security and well-being, people have begun to recognize and applaud the operations carried out by military personnel, since they are activities that benefit the community.
The constant efforts made by the military units, specifically those of the Infantry Battalion No. 56 'Coronel Francisco Javier González', led to two families of these villages being favored with the distribution of about 9 tons of bricks, which will serve to start the construction of a decent house for their homes.
National Army brought not only the most important raw material for the construction of their house, but in the same way the hope of new dreams to be fulfilled. That was how smiles began to get drawn when they saw the arrival of the National Army vehicle in the distance. Immediately, the soldiers rushed to unload the material, while they listened to the words of gratitude of the people who qualified this donation as the best thing had happened in their lives, their great dream was beginning to be realized.
In the same way, thanks to the commitment of the multi mission heroes, it was possible to repair a construction that was deteriorated, because the heavy rains of the last winter wave that weakened the structure, putting at risk around 20 people of the hamlet Botafogo, in the same municipality.
Before the imminent risk, troops of the Infantry Battalion No. 56 'Coronel Francisco Javier González', initiated an intense operation to obtain material resources that would serve in the reconstruction of the house, which was destroyed in walls and ceilings. The soldiers of the National Army in charge of supporting the tasks of clearing the house, had the applause and support of the community, which was united in a single effort, for the good of all the inhabitants of this village and its surroundings.
