Apparently, the individuals intended to take this cargo to international markets.
In the framework of the execution of the Diamante II Plan, troops of the Galán Battalion of the Fifth Brigade, of the Second Division, in coordination with the Santander Police, find 237 kilograms of cocaine that were transported on the road that contacts the municipality of Cerrito, in the department of Santander, with the municipality of Chitagá, in the department of Norte de Santander.
This result was possible thanks to the information provided on three vehicles that, apparently, exceeded the speed limits, and through search and control operations the military noticed a strange smell that came of the trucks. When checking the interior of the vehicles, they found more than 100 blocks of pressed cocaine hidden in the roofs.
According to information, this cargo came from Norte de Santander and the individual intended to take it to other countries.
With this finding, it was in the same way possible to capture three men and one woman in flagrante delicto, who must now face prosecution for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying of narcotics. Those captured and the material were put into custody of the General Prosecutor's Office.
