The National Army supported the difficult situation of Diana Paola Riascos, a young mother, 16, from the municipality of Timbiquí, who was in the city of Popayán with her young son, who had been urgently transported to the capital city of the department of Cauca, after suffering a painful accident when falling from a second floor.
The small José Alberto Hurtado, a baby of one and a half years of age, lost the battle after staying more than a month hospitalized in a hospital in the city of Popayán. The baby had suffered a skull fracture of the fall and unfortunately his short life went out.
The soldiers of the National Army, when knowing the case, went immediately to give psychological assistance to the young mother, in addition to provide humanitarian aid and transported her to Timbiquí by air.
The difficult access to this municipality of the Pacific region of Cauca, became another difficulty for this afflicted mother, who counted on the support of the Twenty-Ninth Brigade, the Air Assault and Aviation Division of the National Army, who made all the necessary, to make the flight from the city of Popayán to the municipality of Timbiquí, where the small José Alberto will finally rest in peace accompanied by his mother and all of his loved ones.
