From very early on, the crew of the FAC 4104 helicopter was ready to carry out the mission of reaching one of the most remote places hit by the conflict in the department of Antioquia, the village El Cedral, in the municipality of Ituango.
There hundreds of children awaited the arrival of the Colombian Air Force. What they did not expect was the arrival of Santa Claus aboard a Black Hawk of the Air Combat Command No.5, who landed in an area of difficult access with a lot of presents.
Thanks to the joint effort of the National Army and the Air Force, the girls and boys of this village received presents and will have a Christmas different from that of previous years.
Mr. Julio, a 70-year-old grandfather, said "I am the oldest in this hamlet, I have been displaced three times by violence, and today I am proud, because we always saw you up there and today you are here bringing presents for our children. That was not seen many years ago, I really thank you and I ask my God to bless you always and I hope you come back soon. "
The Air Force with its aircraft and crews has permanently supported this region, in different types of missions, providing security with law and order operations, saving lives, with projects in favor of the community and this time, bringing joy to a vulnerable population through the UH-60 helicopters, ratifying once again the commitment of the Institution with the Colombians, demonstrating that their Air Force is present throughout the National territory.
