Thanks to the military operations carried out by troops of the Brigade Against Drug Trafficking of the National Army and in a joint operation with the Air Force and coordinated with the Antinarcotics Directorate of the National Police, it was possible to find and destroy a cocaine laboratory, in the hamlet Playón, Arboledas, in the department of Norte de Santander, belonging to the front 'Carlos Armando Cacua Guerrero' of the Armed Organized Group, GAO, Eln.
The complex was made up of 17 structures, available for the preparation and production of the drug, there were at the moment 80 kilos of cocaine and 145 kilos of coca base. In the same way in the place troops found more than 375 kilos of solid precursors, in addition to more than 2 thousand gallons of liquid precursors, including 500 gallons of acetone, 400 gallons of hydrochloric acid and 500 gallons of gasoline.
In the same way the troops confiscated machinery and equipment such as microwave ovens, drying tables, electricity generators, vacuum packers, boilers and others, used for production the alkaloid.
Through these operations, a direct impact on the illicit finances of the 'Carlos Armando Cacua Guerrero' front is achieved, producing a loss of approximately 1,537 million pesos, which is a severe blow against the activities of the structures that produce and sale illegal drugs at national and international level.
