Troops of the Santander Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Fifth Brigade of the Second Division of the National Army, in an interagency work with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) attached to the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and the support of the Engineers Battalion 'Francisco José de Caldas', captured three allegedly members of the terrorism support networks of the 'Efraín Pabón Pabón' front of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln, who would be responsible of the kidnapping of the father of the mayor of the municipality of Guaca, in Santander, last June.
The captures were made in the municipality of Berlin, in the municipality of Tona, Santander, by search warrant, where thanks to follow-up work carried out by the Intelligence unit of Gaula of Santander with the support of the Military Intelligence Battalion No.2, troops found alias 'Marino', 'Silvo' and 'Tiro Loco', who frightened the people of the municipalities.
