In a joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operation, troops of the Caguán Specific Command, attached to the Joint Task Force Omega, in coordination with the National Police, found a clandestine hideout in the municipality of Cartagena del Chairá, in the department of Caquetá.
In the sector La Hacienda, in the municipality of Cartagena del Chairá, troops of the Ground Operations Battalion No. 1 and the Navy Infantry Battalion No. 31 of the Colombian Navy, in coordination with the Criminal Investigation Group (GROIC) of the National Police and by means of a search warrant of the Sectional Prosecutor's Office 22 of Cartagena del Chairá, found 41 cubic meters of wood, which were intended to be commercialized in the region.
So far this year, the Joint Task Force Omega has achieved the discovery of 57 cubic meters of wood, guaranteeing the preservation of the environment in the area and strengthening, in addition, the tranquility of the inhabitants thanks to the reduction of criminal acts.
