Men and women of the Colombian Navy, accompanied by members of public and private institutions, distributed more than 5,500 food baskets equipped with basic food for the most vulnerable inhabitants during the Mandatory Preventive Isolation in Cartagena, Bolívar.
The Unified operation of the State that has been carried out in all corners of the heroic city, benefited on this occasion the inhabitants of the neighborhoods 11 de Noviembre, Chiquinquirá, La María, Olaya Herrera, and the municipality of Pasacaballos, which represent some of the sectors prioritized during the contingency by the covid-19 due to the economic loses during the Mandatory Preventive Isolation.
This humanitarian support is the result of the inter-institutional cooperation that the Naval Institution has carried out, through the Caribbean Naval Force, with institutions such as the Bolivar Government, the Cartagena Mayor's Office, the National Police, the National Unit for the Disaster Risk Management - UNGRD, the Colombian Civil Defense, ICBF, ANDI, Ecopetrol, and the Foundations AGM Huellas de Piedra and Bahía.
