After intense specialized intelligence work, troops of the Eighteenth Brigade, a unit of the Eighth Division of the National Army and in coordination with the National Police, managed to deal a hard blow against the illicit economy of the GAO-r, Structure Tenth, Martín Villa, who commits crimes in the department of Arauca.
The military operation took place in La Becerra, in the municipality of Arauca, where soldiers of the Special Energy and Roads Battalion No. 1 found a clandestine hideout with five plastic containers that were underground, with around 516 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
The merchandise found would be destined for the drug market in countries such as Mexico and the United States, and is valued at more than 144 billion pesos. This result is a significant impact on drug trafficking, and on the finances of this structure.
All the material found was put into custody of the authority.
The military operations of the National Army are permanently conducted in the area to guarantee the safety and well-being of the Arauca inhabitants.
