With the #CorazónAzuLado (blue heart at your side), men and women of the Colombian Navy supported the distribution of more than 11,370 food kits for the most vulnerable inhabitants of the urban area and the rural and insular area of Cartagena, in the department of Bolívar.
During the last days, the crew of the Caribbean Naval Force arrived at the houses of the inhabitants of the Camilo Torres, Canapote, Palestina, Villa Gloria and Membrillal neighborhoods, in addition to Santa Ana in the insular zone, with humanitarian aid that seek to guarantee the well-being of these prioritized inhabitants, including are black communities and Venezuelan migrants.
This operation helps bring Unified State action in a sustained manner to those most in need during the contingency due to the covid-19, and it is work carried out by the Naval Institution, with institutions such as The Ministry of the Interior, the Government of Bolívar, the Mayor's Office of Cartagena, the National Police, the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management - UNGRD, Colombian Civil Defense, the Colombian Institute for Family Wellbeing, ANDI, Ecopetrol, Cartagena Unida and the Foundations AGM Huellas de Piedra, Bahiar and Amigos del Mar.
