As part of the celebration of World Environment Day, the soldiers of the 13th Brigade work on planting 20,000 trees in the municipality of Ciudad Bolívar.
World Environment Day, established by the United Nations since 1974, has Colombia as host country this year and the central theme is biodiversity, for this reason our soldiers of the Baraya Engineers Battalion, the Military Police Battalion No .13 and the Fernando Landazábal Reyes Artillery Battalion, in a coordinated effort with the District Department of the Environment, the UAESP and the local Mayor's Office, carry out a great seeding activity, during which they hope to plant a total of 20,000 trees in the sector known as El Mochuelo, a municipality in Ciudad Bolívar, in Bogotá.
In the framework of the Environmental Bubble campaign, led by the Thirteenth Brigade, this year the planting of 51,128 trees, 49 captures for environmental crimes, 18 confiscations for wildlife trafficking and 36 fire control activities in ecological hit areas have been acheived.
