In the last 15 days of August, the military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) rescue three citizens and pressed for the liberation of five more people, who had been abducted by organized armed groups and organized criminal groups in different parts of the country.
During the same period, 22 arrests were made for extortion, one for kidnapping for ransom and 12 for other crimes.
It is important to mention the rescue carried out by the Military Gaula of Meta, last august 20, in the municipality of Guamal, of two citizens. Anderson Robledo Salazar, 33, and Mauricio López Taborda, 27, had been kidnapped on the 14th of the same month, by members of the residual organized armed group, Gao-R, structure 40.
In the same way, it is important to note the immediate rescue by the military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Buenaventura of a young man, 23, who was obliged take three million pesos in the ATMs where he was taken by the captors. The act was committed by the local criminal group La Local.
Among the liberations is important to highlight the work of Investigation and pressure of the troops of the Magdalena military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group). It was possible that Manuel Guillermo Bustos Becerra, 66, and Robinson Alfonso Ayala, were released and returned with their families. Kidnapers demanded 30 million pesos for their liberation. In the same way, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) – Caribbean achieved the release of Luis Amador Pérez Vasquez, 28, and Sergio Mario Carrillo Padilla, 24 years old. Kidnappers demanded 20 million to release them.
Similarly, the release of the student Natalia Salazar Toro, held on Saturday, August 22, 2020, as a result of pressure exerted by the units of the Military Gaula of Valle and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the prosecutor's office. For her release kidnappers demanded 90 thousand euros.
The military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) continues to invite the community to denounce the kidnapping and extortion through line 147 in which people will receive assistance 24 hours a day and in the frame of the campaign #YoNoPagoYoDenuncio.
