With the planting of Urapanes (Fraxinus), the authorities and the community seek to mitigate environmental pollution in Fusagasugá.
Units of the Thirteenth Brigade of the National Army, the Infantry Battalion No. 39 Sumapaz and the High Mountain Battalion No.1, joined their efforts to plant more than 1,300 trees in the El Roble, municipality La Aguadita of the municipality of Fusagasugá, in Cundinamarca.
This great activity of planting, reforestation and ecological restoration, where the Green of the plants was the protagonist, seeks to raise awareness of the entire community of Sumapaz, on the importance of caring for, cleaning and maintaining plants areas free of material that hits the environment. The accompaniment was carried out by the Secretariat of the Municipal Environment, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Environment and lands, troops of the National Army, as well as inhabitants of the sector.
The Urapan was the tree chosen to be planted for this opportunity at this point of Fusagasugá, with the main objective of mitigating environmental pollution, guaranteeing biodiversity and water production in Strategic Properties of Fusagasugá.
