Soldiers of the Engineers Battalion No. 5 Colonel Francisco Jose de Caldas of the Fifth Brigade, of the Second Division of the National Army, with the support of the mayor of California, Santander, rebuilt the House of a family that a few months ago, would have collapsed due to heavy rains and the bad state.
With the contribution of materials by the Municipal Administration and the military engineers, during two months of work, refurbished the entire roof of the house, the electrical system, the floors, the inner walls and the façade, providing not only a pleasant, but a safe home for the whole family.
A few months ago, this family had to leave their home, because one of the walls and ceiling collapsed; no victims were reported. Today, thanks to this work, the members of this house will be able to live again with the peace of having a good work coordinated by the community.
