Through joint and coordinated operations carried out by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army and the National Police in the south-west of the country, the weekend saw the finding and destruction of a rudimentary laboratory for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, with a production capacity of three tons per month in Jamundí, Valle del Cauca.
After a coordinated work with troops of the special brigade against drug trafficking on land and the resources of the Air Force, the movement was made to the Village La Balastrera, where this big construction was being used for this type of illicit operations; it was made of eight structures.
During the finding, solid and liquid precursors were found, as well as different equipment for the elaboration of the narcotic, a crime that is perpetrated by the sixth structure of the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, Jaime Martínez. This operation is a blow exceeding 9 billion pesos.
