Humanitarian assistance was coordinated by the First Division of the National Army, with the support of the Search and Rescue Company of the Army Aviation.
Attending to the call of the community, the troops of the National Army coordinated with the Indigenous community Windiwa, the transfer by helicopter of two indigenous women with complications in their pregnancies, in rural area of the municipality of Fundación, Magdalena, to the city of Santa Marta.
This humanitarian evacuation, carried out on board a UH-1H (Huey II) helicopter of the National Army, had a special search and rescue crew, who transferred to a medical center the two pregnant women, who by this time receive the necessary medical assistance.
