Before the emergency due to a fire in six cabins, in the sector of Playa Blanca, the troops of the navy and units of the coast Guard Station of Cartagena support the work of containment of the conflagration, which at the time doesn’t report fatalities.
In this way, two rapid reaction units and crews of the different components of the Caribbean Naval Force, highly trained for emergency and disaster care, were sent.
On board the Coast Guard boats were transported the fire equipment, as well as motor pumps, autonomous breathing equipment and long-range hoses to stop the fire.
The crew of the ship ARC Golfo de Morrosquillo, a Surface unit that was carrying out water supply maneuvers in the Island area of Cartagena, in the same way visited the site.
In the same way, members of the community, national police units, Fire Personnel, Civil Defense officials, Red Cross and Office of disaster care and risk management support the work against fire.
