The Naval Cadet School Almirante Padilla received the visit of the Director of the Port Association of Barranquilla-ASOPORTUARIA, officials of the District Mayor of Barranquilla, Palermo Port Society, National Association of ship-owners and Maritime agents - ASONAV, Port Authority of Barranquilla, practical Masters Pilots and the coremar group.
During their stay at the Naval institution, they learned about the simulation project implemented to the conceptual feasibility analysis of the Barranquilla navigable canal proposed by the General Maritime Directorate – DIMAR. In the same way, they had the opportunity to enter the simulators in the Center for Research, Development and innovation for maritime activities - CIDIAM.
These visits become for the Naval Cadet School Almirante Padilla, an opportunity to continue to publicize its technological resources, through specialized real-time simulation studies, maneuvers with type ships, for studies of nautical feasibility projects to new ports, meteomarine analysis, modeling of interactive virtual environments and prototype ships integrated to bridge platforms, which leads to the formulation of simulation cases and special training in safe environments, with zero implications of materials, ships and human lives.
The Naval Cadet School is committed to joining efforts with public and private institutions for research, development and innovation projects, with the purpose of providing viable solutions to real problems in the Maritime and river sector.
