A total success was the first Activity to Support the development of 2021, prepared by the Colombian Air Force, which has as objective to provide the civilians with progress and development through an inter-agency working. The meeting was held in the community of Huasanó, in the rural area of Trujillo, Valle del Cauca.
After the contingency due to the COVID-19 virus, it became necessary to carried out a strategy that lead to maintain and preserve the care of citizens, preventing activities with massive assistance of people, so a work and virtual modality was proposed to continue the support of vulnerable inhabitants in the southwest of the country, under strict protocols of organization and security, resulting in this first meeting in a satisfactory way.
773 services in general medicine, cardiology, pediatrics, dentistry, gynecology, optometry, gerontology, physical therapy, psychology, as well as, legal advice, virtual discussions of cardiovascular risk, domestic violence, and a component of tele-support with specialties in orthopedics and infectious diseases, in addition to the distribution of 120 presents, were provided to the inhabitants of the municipality of Huasanó, Robledo and villages of the area.
The Coordination of efforts conducted by the Colombian Air Force and the mayor of Trujillo, in coordination with institutions such as the High Mountain Battalion No.10 of the National Army, the police station of Trujillo and Huasanó, the Civil Defense, volunteer firefighters of Trujillo, the Association of Agricultural and Fish Producers of Huasanó, Asopihua, among other institutions, made this great event possible.
With this first activity of support for development, the doors open for the community to access the comprehensive actions provided by the air institution hand in hand with the State and the support of the private economy groups, for the benefit of hundreds of Colombians, throughout the national territory.
