The missile frigate ARC Independiente, the Missile Corvette ARC Almirante Tono and the submarine ARC Tairona, of the Caribbean Naval Force, are part of the regional training.
In international waters, units of the Caribbean Naval Force conducted the combined exercises with the United States Navy and the Peruvian Navy, in the frame of continuous training with units of the United States Fourth Fleet responsible for operations in the Caribbean, Central and South America, who linked up with two maritime patrol aircraft. In this opportunity the training had the participation of the Peruvian submarine BAP Pisagua.
This initiative aimed to increase the level of interoperability of the navies of Colombia, the United States and Peru, in naval warfare resources through the planning and execution of training exercises, enhancing the skills of the units in order to be prepared to face regional and global threats.
In the case of the Colombian Navy, it led to strengthening the new resources available to the recently acquired units of the Caribbean Naval Force.
