11 individuals were arrested during searches carried out simultaneously in two municipalities.
During a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Police, it was possible to arrest 11 alleged members of the Los Norteños Gang, who were allegedly committing extortion and theft of people, and commercial and financial establishments, as well as selective homicides in the departments of Córdoba, Sucre and Bolívar under the criminal command of alias Monito de la Fe.
Ten of those arrested were apprehended by members of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Sucre of the Navy of Colombia and units of the SIJÍN of the National Police, during search procedures issued by the Municipal Court of San Marcos, in the department of Sucre.
Thus, in the city of Sincelejo, eight individuals with the aliases of Monito de la Fe, Cabeza Ponche, Anuar, Tombo Tapias, Chino Soldado, Viejo, Palomo and Orejón were arrested in the area known as La Fe, and in the neighborhoods of Villa Madys, La Ford, Alto Bosque, La Vega and Incora.
In the municipality of Tolú Viejo, alias Lechero, 27, and alias Puerca Mona, 23, were arrested in the La Manga neighborhood.
Similarly, alias La Pati, 34, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the crimes of trafficking, manufacturing and / or carrying firearms; a firearm was seized.
During the operation that took place simultaneously, it was in the same way possible to find two firearms, 12 cartridges of different calibers and 13 cell phones.
Those arrested must face charges for the crimes of association to commit crimes, aggravated homicide and qualified theft, they would be linked to two acts of homicide that occurred in August and September of this year. The amount of cases of theft committed by this group would approximately raise up to 559 million pesos.
