The Air Combat Command No.1 of the Air Force guarantees the road mobility of Colombians without alterations of law and order during this December, carrying out surveillance and reconnaissance missions in the departments of Caldas, Cundinamarca, Norte de Santander, Quindío, Risaralda, Santander and Boyacá, in order to counteract any type of operation by terrorist groups that may strike the security and tranquility of civilians, protecting them by air, as well as on the ground in conjunction with our Army and in coordination with the National Police.
Therefore, the Air Base is conducting overflights both with airplanes equipped with air intelligence platforms and with remotely manned airplanes, which monitor the main roads and critical infrastructure of the country from Magdalena Centro to the border area and in the Catatumbo region area. Inhabitants can move normally, preventing disturbances of public order and alerting on any abnormality that could put the lives of citizens at risk. In the same way, in the municipalities of Puerto Salgar, Cundinamarca and La Dorada, Caldas, the personnel of the Security and Defense Group of Air Bases are carrying out different operations jointly with the National Police, and accompanied by of Captain Paz (Colombian Air force mascot), they distributed brochures with telephone numbers to denounce any suspicious activity that may strike free mobility.
In addition to conducting permanent patrols, troops disseminated through a powerful equipment of air loudspeakers, which remind the community that the Institution accompanies it this Christmas by air and land, because We are closer to the stars, closer to Colombians, we are the Colombian Air Force. In this way, the Military Forces are committed to guarantee security and to the citizens so they can travel safely on the different roads of the country. It invites the community to report in the lines 123 or 147 at the national level any action that may put people at risk.
