- 13 state institutions, including ICBF, UNP, Ministries of Defense and Agriculture and Health, provided Arauca with aid for the people.
In order to support the victims of the recent acts of violence that have occurred in Arauca, an inter-institutional activity of social services is being carried out today, led by the National Government, following instructions from President Iván Duque and complying with one of the commitments made in the Security Council.
“We are ready to serve the people, the Military Forces are here: the National Navy, the National Police, our glorious National Army and the Air Force, all here to ensure security and of course all the work to provide support to those who have been victims of this terrorist act,” said Deputy Defense Minister Jairo García.
Institutions such as the ICBF, UNP, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Trade and Agriculture, the Unit for Comprehensive Care and Reparation for Victims, the Unit for Risk Management and Disaster Response, the Presidency of the Republic, ICA, and the government and mayor's office of Arauca, are part of this activity.
Accompaniment, talks on forced recruitment by the Demobilized Care Group, recreational activities and humanitarian aid, are some of the services provided by the State.
For his part, the mayor of Arauca Wilfredo Gómez made an invitation to the entire community to come to the Simón Bolívar Central Park, where this activity is carried out so “that the entire community and especially the victims of these terrorist acts, come and know of our work to provide the support from all institutions.
In turn, the governor in charge, Miguel Alejandro Vargas, expressed his gratitude to the Military Forces.
“I thank the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force who watch over us and also the National Police, thank you for all you do and for your work.”
All the institutions of the State, united and in order to ensure the rights of the people, accompany the people of Arauca without any pause.
