Ratifying the commitment to the comprehensive well-being of the communities of the Colombian Pacific, on board a Colombian Navy Ship, 50,000 units of eggs were transported from the District of Tumaco to El Charco, Nariño, in order to be distributed to 950 families, in coordination with the departmental Government, the Municipal Government and the Victims Unit.
In the Port of Tumaco, men of the River Navy Battalion No.43 boarded the food aboard the Amphibious Landing Ship ARC Bahia Colombia. After sailing 100 nautical miles, the Surface Unit arrived at the coastal municipality of El Charco, where, together with members of the National Police, the National Army and the community, began unloading humanitarian aid.
Then, in the facilities of the Victims Unit of El Charco, the distribution of the egg cartons to the families belonging to the communities of the Tapaje River and inhabitants of the urban area of the municipality began.
The people thanked the Naval Institution and the authorities, who conducted the coordination of management and transport of this important food of the family basket, since its donation directly benefits the most vulnerable inhabitants of the region.
