With the planting of 100 trees and floral shrubs in the Palmira River basin, in the department of Valle, the Colombian Air Force, through the Air Combat Command No.7 participated in the commemoration of the International Tree Day.
The community, public institutions, environmental managers and the National Army in the same way participated in the environmental activity.
This date is a reason to raise awareness among the inhabitants about the need to protect wooded areas, and invite the inhabitants to take part in these activities that contribute to curb the effects of climate change and indiscriminate logging.
The planting of these trees endemic to the region will in the same way contribute to the purification of the air and the conservation of the fauna.
Through these operations, the Colombian Air Force will continue to participate in the protection and care of the environment, raising awareness in the inhabitants to respect and take part in operations that led to preserve Colombian biodiversity.
