The Ministry of National Defense, the Military Forces, National Police and institutions territorial National, Departmental and Municipal came to the inhabitants of the municipality of Tumaco – Nariño, for the benefit of the inhabitants through an inter-agency effort within the framework of the Acceleration Plan of Unified action, with all the services, inter-agency, that includes brigade, health, marketing of agricultural products of the area, recreation, cultural activities, and distribution of presents.
A sustained operation was carried out in the El Morrito neighborhood, with the leadership of the Joint Task Force Hercules Command, with its units as BACOT 53, FUDRA2, BAAID3 of the National Army, The Navy Infantry Brigade No.4 National Navy, No. 7 of the Colombian Air Force, the Nariño National Police Department and the support of the U.S. Southern Command.
In the same way, there was the wide offer of institutional services by the National Learning Service (SENA), the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing (ICBF), Colombian Civil Defence, government of Nariño, Municipality of Tumaco, Universidad Minuto de Dios, Fe en Colombia, the House of Justice and Coexistence in the city, the Sisbén, the Hospital Divino niño, INESUR and some companies in the commercial local sector, benefiting the inhabitants of this municipality.
Within the framework of the Acceleration Plan of Unified action conducted by the Ministry of National Defense for the benefit of disadvantaged communities, in this activity were the beneficiaries of medical services including: general medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, dentistry, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, vaccination, training programs, academic programs portfolio for employment, care, and recreation for childhood, hair and beauty, information programs for adults, families and young people in Action, giving presents and baskets of food, among other services.
Over the past year, the PAAU continues to carry out sustained interventions in different places of our national geography, assisting children, young people, adults and the elderly; having a successful and valuable reception for all the inhabitants of the vulnerable areas, in order to continue improving their living conditions, ensure their security with the inter-institutional services of the Defense sector.
