More than 12,200 polling stations are being monitored and protected by members of the Military Forces to improve electoral security.
With the objective that Colombians can exercise their right to choose and be elected, and in compliance with the third phase of the Democracy Plan, 320,000 men and women of land, sea, air and river, and the National Police are in 100 percent of the national territory.
In the same way, the Military Forces have provided 1,678 vehicles, 135 aircraft, 1,174 motorcycles, 23 remotely manned aircraft and 44 river units to facilitate the surveillance and protection of critical points where Organized Armed Groups intend to destabilize the tranquility of citizens during this electoral activity.
By land, sea, air and river, the Military Forces will continue to protect democracy and be responsible for compliance with the Constitution and the Law. Colombians can be assured that soldiers, sailors, pilots, airmen and navy men are providing support for any threat to national tranquility and law and order.
