This conference has the participation, exchange of knowledge and experiences of military delegates from sister countries, such as the United States, Mexico, Peru, Salvador and Paraguay.
The Command of the army Engineers through the National Center Against Improvised Explosive devices Mines (CENAM in Spanish), leads the first International Conference Prosecution and Attack on the Network of Illegal Experts in Explosives, whose main goal is to share, exchange and discuss national and international experiences, as well as to establish or strengthen partnerships and joint work in prosecution, in addition to the identification of the network of illegal experts in Colombia.
The opening of this conference was in charge of Brigadier General Olveiro Pérez Mahecha, Commander of the Engineering Command, who invited all the participants who were on site and also virtually, to see in this academic space the opportunity to learn about technological developments and the design of new tools to improve and optimize safety.
For two days, high-level academic speakers will be present addressing issues related to victims and statistics of the magnitude of the problem of mines warfare in Colombia, attacks made by the network of illegal experts in explosives in Paraguay, the international context on improvised explosive devices and the international convention for the suppression of terrorist attacks committed with bombs.
This first edition of the international conference will have speakers such as Colonel Juan Carlos Alvarado Sandoval, from El Salvador; Colonel Adolfo Luis Fleitas Ramírez, from Paraguay, Lieutenant colonel Chuquillanqui Caycho Clever Abner, from Peru; Colonel Arturo Meza Hernández, from Mexico, and Sergeant Mario Ramírez, from the United States.
