Since her arrival in the city of Chennai, India, where the World Chess Olympic games is currently taking place, the lieutenant of the Eleventh Brigade of the National Army, Paula Andrea Rodríguez Rueda, has demonstrated discipline and passion for this sport.
In each game, the official ratifies the desire to leave the best image of Colombia. In six rounds carried out so far (11 in total), she has obtained together with her teammates three victories in group B of the women's category, facing the players of the countries such as Ethiopia, Scotland and Ecuador; in the same way, the national competitors hold a head-to-head competition against the participants from Spain.
Self-confidence, strategy and mental dexterity are some of the qualities that have led Lieutenant Rodríguez to stand out in this important event, where she in the same way excels for being the only military and proudly wearing the uniform of the National Army.
The World Chess Olympic games will run until August 9 and of the institution, officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers hope the greatest success for this member of the military family.
