This illegal complex was made up of three illegal refineries, in charge of distilling the petroleum that was stolen of the Caño Limón Coveñas pipeline.
Through operations, troops of the Vulcano Task Force find and dismantle an illegal complex that would be part of the illicit financial system apparently of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, where more than 26,000 gallons of petroleum stolen of the Caño Limón Coveñas Pipeline were being distilled, in the municipality of Tibú, Norte de Santander.
The execution of this operation lasted about six days, it was carried out in the village La Gómez, where the soldiers intervened this complex would cost more than 7,000 million pesos.
Material used to connect the refineries was found at the site, which was destroyed in controlled conditions by the Explosives and Demolition Team, EXDE, without any damage to the environment.
