With the integration of the resources of the National Army, the five individuals were taken from the area, protecting their lives in compliance with institutional policies of respect for human rights and the norms of international humanitarian law.
In compliance with the Ayacucho Plan, troops of the National Army achieved the surrender of five alleged members belonging to the residual organized armed group of the Jorge Briceño and Ariel Aldana structures, in the municipality of Florencia department of Caquetá.
The structure of the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Jorge Briceño to which three of the individuals belonged, and whose ringleader is Alexander Díaz Mendoza, would have criminal activities within the limits of the department of Caquetá and part of the department of Meta and would be supporting the armed and financial part of the residual GAO, Carolina Ramirez structure, in the south of the country.
In the same way, the other two individuals, apparently, have been in the Ariel Aldana residual GAO structure for more than two years, a structure that commits crimes in the south-west of the country.
The individuals made known their intentions of wanting to rejoin civil society and start a new life with their families under the legality and support of the Humanitarian Assistance Group for the Demobilized, led by the National Government.
With this result, the armed component of these criminal organizations, responsible for homicides, criminal acts and clashes with other structures that commit crimes such as drug trafficking and serious violations of human rights and violations of international humanitarian law, is struck.
