The military and police authorities continue to work to preserve the well-being and tranquility of the Caquetá people.
Through review and search work through checkpoints carried out by soldiers of the Twelfth Brigade of the National Army in coordination with the National Police on the different roads of the department of Caquetá, a military equipment and military accessories were found and transported from Bogotá in a parcel vehicle.
The incident was reported in the area known as Las Garzas, in the municipality of Florencia, where two sacks containing about 200 chameleon-type military sweaters and 50 little bags, equipment for the exclusive use of the Military Forces, were found by troops inside the transport.
With this, there would already be four findings carried out by the authorities of the region in 2023, preventing this exclusive Army material from reaching the hands of the different criminal structures that commit crimes in this area of the Colombian Amazon. The items were put into custody of the authorities.
In the same way, in the rural area of Milan, troops of the Infantry Battalion No.35 Heroes del Güepí, found campaign equipment, hammocks, camouflage fabric, assault bags, and communication equipment, which apparently belonged to the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, structure 48, called Comandos de frontera.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, the National Army reaffirms its commitment to the security of the Caquetá people, and will continue to conduct coordinated, joint and inter-institutional military operations to strike the criminal operations of the multicrime organizations that disrupt the tranquility of the inhabitants of Caquetá.
