At the facilities of the Officers Hall of the General Carlos Julio Gil Colorado Artillery School, in Bogotá, a formal greeting was made by the commander of Colombian National Army to the personnel of the 122nd relay of the 3rd Infantry Battalion Colombia, a military unit established in Egypt, member of the Multinational Force and Observers.
The event, chaired by the commander of Colombian National Army, General Luis Mauricio Ospina Gutiérrez, and civil authorities, led the attendees to meet the 136 men and women who, for their outstanding work, were selected to be part of this mission.
Among the chosen personnel are two military women, Lieutenant Claudia Patricia Moreno Areval, a psychologist, and Miss Luz Mariana Fuentes Rozo, an Infantry officer, who will be part of the relay.
It is noteworthy that the Infantry Battalion No. 3 Colombia, 11,499 kilometers away from Colombia, has the mission of verifying, observing and reporting to the Multinational Force and Observers any incident that violates the Camp David peace treaty, in the border area of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Israel.
