The Multi Mission Heroes arrived in the municipality of Apartad贸, in the Urab谩 region, in Antioquia, to provide health services and recreation spaces for the most vulnerable communities, rebuilding social fabric.
Antioquia. For years, the hamlet of San Jos茅 de Apartad贸 has been immersed in the armed conflict. The constant presence of the illegal armed groups, which sought the submission of the civilian population to satisfy their criminal interests, has left heavy consequences in the community.
The Colombian National Army, in fulfillment of its mission, seeks to protect the territory by means of the constant presence in the region to prevent that any action disturbs the tranquility of its inhabitants. In addition to providing security, the goal of the Multi mission Heroes is to contribute to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable populations through days that cover their unsatisfied basic needs.
1,023 people, residents of the San Jos茅 de Apartad贸 district, benefited from a Development Support Day that took place at the Bartolom茅 School, where they accessed general medicine, dentistry, psychology, optometry, pediatrics, haircut, manicure, recreation, among others.
"I am very grateful to the National Army, thanks to them I was able to access the pediatric service and they gave me medicines for my child, thank you very much," said Lady Janeth Loaiza, a resident of the sector.
During the event, people received 200 school kits, 728 presents, 6 supplies baskets, 60 glasses and medicines. The activity was coordinated by the National Army, with the participation of the Air Force, the "Faith in Colombia" program of the Support Battalion of Comprehensive action and Development n潞.7, the Volt铆geros Battalion, the Seventeenth Brigade, the SENA and Los Ib谩帽ez Supermarkets.
