32 citizens voting board members appointed by the National Office of the Civil Status and several electoral kits containing both the ballot boxes and other material required to vote, have been transported in an Air Force Black Hawk helicopter to three remote and difficult-to-access municipalities of the department of Meta.
The 32 voting board members were taken to the municipalities of Calvario, La Macarena and Vista Hermosa, to Monfort, San Rafael, La Catalina, and Nueva Colombia with half a ton of electoral kits to carry out the respective installation of their posts with the material carried by the air Institution.
The people transported by the crews of the Air Combat Command No. 2, within the framework of the Democracy Plan, to the different rural areas where ballots boxes places have the mission of filling out the forms, handling the material and monitoring the ballot boxes for the transparency of the elections.
This personnel transport mission is still in execution and it will cover in the coming hours, other sectors of the municipality of La Macarena thus bringing more voting board members with the material to the remote areas of Yari, San Juan de Losada, La Cristalina, Playa Rica, La Sombra and Puerto Lozada.
It should be noted that once the electoral activity is over, this important air movement will return the delegates and the electoral material to the competent authorities in order to facilitate the distribution of the reports at the central level and led the timely flow of the results with their respective evidence.
In this way, the Colombian Air Force contributes to the achievement of the purposes of the State, accompanying citizens in the elections, so that the joint and inter-institutional work leads us to guarantee to our compatriots their right to vote with equal conditions and opportunities in a safe democratic activity.
