With the aim of continuing to rebuild the social fabric, the Military Forces arrived at the indigenous refuge El Refugio, to carry out an activity to support development, benefiting and working for raising the fundamental right to health of the inhabitants.
In a great effort to strengthen community rapprochement and trust with the inhabitants, troops of the Instruction, Training and Recurrent training Battalion N掳. 22, attached to the Twenty-Second Jungle Brigade, in a coordinated work with the National Police, the National Navy with its Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 32, the National Civil Status and Registry office, the Creciendo Juntos por el Guaviare Foundation, the SENA, the Nueva EPS (HEALTH SERVICES PROVIDER) and the CDA Corporation, benefited 340 people of the Nukak Maku indigenous people.
Those attending this development support activity received free of charge services such as general medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, gynecology, psychology, nutrition, optometry, geriatrics and physical therapy, among others. Sterilizations of cats and dogs were in the same way carried out, reaching 740 services provided.
In addition, recreational activities were carried out during the meeting in which the uniformed personnel of Colombian National Army shared and supervised that everyone enjoyed the trampolines of each institution. In the same way, donations of clothes, shoes, toys and school kits were distributed, providing what is necessary for the well-being of ethnic people.
In compliance with the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Campaign Plan, Colombian National Army will continue to deploy humanitarian operations to favor the inhabitants, especially the most vulnerable communities, generating an atmosphere of trust and progress for the inhabitants of this area of the country.
