It is an important technological tool created by the Colombian Air Force and the 'Francisco José de Caldas' District University, which helps to conduct studies and predictions of ecological damages, caused by open cast illegal exploitation, will be presented this Wednesday, October 30 at 2:00 pm at the facilities of the Colombian Aerospace Museum in Tocancipá, in the department of Cundinamarca.
In the framework of the inter-institutional cooperation agreement, the Air Force and the District University, developed this research and innovation project, which defines and establishes a model of prediction of ecological damages, through a web page that helps generate diagnoses and forecasts in a complete and timely manner.
This model in the same way shows the simulation of the damages that can be caused to ecosystems, through the use of a geographical viewer that simulates flights over the area of interest. It in the same way has the capacity to represent the transformations of the terrain.
The event will be chaired by the Commander of the Colombian Air Force, General Ramsés Rueda Rueda, who accompanied by special guests of the Government and the academy, will announce this important national technological achievement, for the study and decision making in environmental terms and national security.
