The devices were in an illegal hideout, ready to be installed.
In the framework of military operations, soldiers of Colombian National Army neutralized a terrorist operation with improvised explosive devices, in the rural area of the municipality of Sardinata, Department of Norte de Santander.
Thanks to the intelligence work of the Army, it was possible to find the point where members of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, were hiding the improvised explosive devices, to install them on the general area where the troops are conducting military operations.
Six devices were found by troops hidden in the place in a cylindrical metal container, weighing approximately 20 kilos, which had an activation system by command cable. It is analyzed if these elements would be detonated with the flash of a camera.
The elements were destroyed under controlled conditions by the Explosive Ordnance Handling group, who, with the necessary techniques and tactics safeguard the life and good physical condition of the community, the troops and the critical constructions of the State.
