As part of the environmental preservation and conservation activities carried out by the Colombian Aerospace Force in various regions, a group of Officers, Non-commissioned Officers and soldiers of the Caribbean Air Group (GACAR) actively participated in the planting of native trees.
This activity was carried out with the aim of promoting life through the planting of trees, which help to produce oxygen, purify the air, form fertile soils, prevent erosion, keep rivers clean, capture water for aquifers, serve as shelters for wildlife and reduce soil temperature.
Approximately 10 members of the Air Force joined this valuable activity, with a common purpose: to contribute to the care and protection of the environment through reforestation.
With a constant commitment, the GACAR will continue to support these initiatives to counteract the devastating effects of climate change and promote the recovery of the damaged ecosystems in the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina.
