Through this result, the drug trafficking chain is hit and lives are saved by mitigating the consumption of this psychoactive substance.
Damaging the illicit activities of Organized Armed Groups, troops of Anti-Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats Command, within the framework of joint, coordinated and inter-institutional military operations, dismantled a laboratory of chemicals used for the production of cocaine hydrochloride in Samaniego, Nariño.
This structure had machinery, equipment, liquid and solid precursors for the production of the illicit substance; it would cost more than 300 million pesos.
This important result directly hits the illegal finances of criminal organizations, since the destruction of this laboratory prevented the production of approximately 22 tons of cocaine, which in the world market would mean more than 44,000 million doses.
