In a house, 25 kilos of the opioid were found by troops that would be processed to obtain this amount of doses.
A complete structure for the production of heroin, one of the most addictive and expensive drugs on the market, was destroyed in controlled conditions by troops of the Nariño Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) in the Guaramo village, of the municipality of El Tablón de Gómez, Nariño.
The investigative work by the Attorney General's Office led to finding a house where there were 25 kilos of heroin already processed, which, according to the investigators, were going to be sent to Ecuador and from there to Europe, through human couriers.
A kilo of this opioid is over $15,000, and exceeds its price in places like Europe, where it can reach $80,000.
The dismantling of this place thus prevents more than 52,000 doses from reaching the illegal markets of several countries in the region.
Although no arrests were reported, it is estimated that the laboratory made of rustic constructions could belong to criminal groups serving drug trafficking.
