With these findings, the distribution of more than 430 thousand doses of narcotic drugs in the world was prevented.
The firmness of the Colombian Navy's military operation in the Colombian Pacific is progressing, this is how, within the framework of three operations, 3,018 kilograms of narcotics were found by troops including marijuana and cocaine hydrochloride, when the different drug trafficking organizations intended to transport it to Central America.
In the Central Pacific, two boats were intercepted, one of them manned by three individuals carrying 67 sacks and the other, five men were traveling carrying 37 sacks, with illicit substances.
The illegal goods and the individuals were taken to the District of Buenaventura in Valle del Cauca, where the judicial authorities carried out the Approved Preliminary Identification Test, which left positive result for marijuana (1,963 kilograms and 1,045 kilograms, respectively). The eight individuals were put into custody of the authorities for prosecution.
In another operation, during a routine inspection of a container ship that would sail from the port of Buenaventura, a package was the object of relevant tests, determining that it was cocaine hydrochloride (10 kilograms).
With this finding, the Colombian Navy prevented more than 19 million dollars from entering the financial structures of drug trafficking organizations and about 430 thousand doses from being distributed around the world.
